Sounds like your ballast is going bad.

I believe its the connection because I just bought a brand new ballast and put it on this side to try and correct the problem yet it still happens.

mine was the connection. when try tapping the wires when the lights are on. if they start to flicker, it's the connection.

Do you have a relay? If not, you might want to get one. That could cause the problems you are experiencing.

could have just swapped ballasts from left to right to see if anything changed before buying a new one, but hat's done is done. Now start looking at a loose fuse box or ground issue.

I have had this issue before on my fogs. Like Blurr said, If you are running you hid's off a relay the problem should go away. What happens is the stock wiring doesnt have enough juice sometimes to fire the ballast completely, so when you do it twice in a row it usually fires up. I find it happens more with the slim ballasts as well. Bad connection is still a definite possibility.

I have the same issue. My fogs work fine for a month and now not at all and my passenger headlight comes on for 5 minutes gets pink and then go out. I'm electrically challenged, but still trying my best to find the problem.
