I turn my car on. The climate control back lights come on. No numbers or anything are shown. It will not turn on. This is incredibly frustrating seeing as how summer is just about to start, and I can't control anything, including my AC...
Bottom line, I can't afford to have anyone look at it because I'm beyond broke at this point. Can anyone help point me in the right direction? And my internet is shot also, so I can only check this very periodically via friends' computers, so sorry if I'm slow to respond. Thanks in advance for your help.
Check the fuse on the kick panel fuse box. Make sure it contacts good. Mine was the same way.
The previous owner had some wired up to it and caused the contacts on the fuse box to not touch the fuse properly. I ended up using some foil on both pins of the fuse to give it more thickness. Might not be the best way but it worked without a problem.
Also check to make sure your cigarette lighter fuse is good and check for anything in the actual cig lighter hole that would cause the fuse to pop.
I've owned the car almost two years now, but I've never had an issue with the climate control so this is new territory for me. And no, there's no heat, no AC, no air flow whatsoever. And yes I've tried pushing the up and down arrows
It just won't turn on period.
I've checked the fuses and they're all fine. The car has 178xxx miles on it now so Its possible the whole unit may just be burned out.
