Ignition switch problem?
A couple of months back, my 97 SC300's steering wheel stopped responding to the key - it did not tilt up or down anymore when the key was inserted/removed. But I can still tilt and telescope it with the ****.
A couple of weeks back, I started to have problem starting. Most of the time when I turn the key, the starter does not turn. I can hear a weak click. The lights and the radio work, plenty of juice, no corrosion on terminals.
A friend's friend who repairs cars told me over the the phone it may be the ignition switch.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Also, if the switch's the problem, how hard is it to replace it?
