Default Ignition problem

I have a problem with my ignition.... For some reason, the ignition switch is locked up, and the wheel is locked up and can't turn..... Any Idea why the ignition switch is locked up and the key won't turn?

And any solutions? Open to all ideas

Sometimes depending on how the wheel steering wheel is turned when locked, I find the key won't turn the ignition tumbler. Sometimes I have to turn the wheel one way or the other with a good bit for firmness and jiggle the key to get the sprag or whatever it is to unlock the ignition tumbler. Just pull real hard one way or the other on the wheel while gently working the key, it should go 'click' and turn for you.

Wow...thanks a lot! I tugged a bit just like you said and jiggled the ignition a couple tries and it worked like a charm! THANK YOU!

Hey no problem. I have dealt with so many weird quirks with various cars over the years, I am glad to share what I know.
