Theres several types of lock nuts. Go to the local tire store and they usually have a kit that will bang it on over the top of the locking lug nut... Then use an impact to retrieve it off. Call ahead to see if they have the kit... Thats what I had to do.. I used Big Ten Tires...

One time my locking lug nut key that goes on the outside (gorilla-style) stripped and had to buy a whole new lug nut set just for the key. The second gorilla lug nut key I'm using still hasn't stripped on me; maybe I was tightening them too hard before. From experience, I like the keys better that go inside the top of the lug nut instead of around the outside due to stripping but like the look more of these covered, acorn-style lug nuts. I bought a regular set of acorn-style lug nuts without a key on ebay and I couldn't tighten them because the torque wrench wouldn't fit inside the hole on my custom wheels.

I would say ditch the locking luts all together.. I dont think anyone steals rims anymore.. At least in my area of town.. Once you get them off, leave them off! Unless you need a piece of mind. I hate for anyone to get a flat and the locking lug be stripped out or something.. That would suck! Just my opinion.

As far as the impact not fitting, you need to get a slim style socket to fit in those tight places and keep in the car with you.. Same thing happened on my BMW, once I got new rims and tires.. Good luck!

I think you hitting the snow bank was a sign. That body kit is ricer, oem is much cleaner.

As for how to remove the lock i am surprised no one has told you yet. Just go t the lexus dealership, they have a key for each design.

I know what wheel lock key you are talking about. Those have been discontinued a loooongg time ago. You cannot order or buy then anywhere. Your best bet is to just have them broken off at your local tire shop. Its easy. I do it at work all the time.

Just find a socket that "wants" to fit over it and hammer it slightly on...(not to far or you'll never get you socket back. and impact it off........You wouldn't believe how many customers at my shop don't bring the key with them. I gave up looking a long time ago and just do this every time. You can reinstall the same lock nuts the same way if you choose not to replace them with reg lugs.
