Default need help finding rims for sc400

right now i have chrome 20's on my sc400. they are 20x8.5 with 245/35/20 in front and 255/35/20 in back. i liked them at 1st but im not really feeling them anymore + they are heavy as hell! way heavier than any other rim ive had. im basically lookin for somethin more sporty and not so flashy.. i love how wide wheels look so i would want to have like 10" in back and 8-9" in front. problem is i checked wheelsnext and other wheel sites and they are sayin the widest i can go is 9.5 but they are guys on here who have 10.5+ also i want 19's because i already have 19" tires (225/35/19) from another set of rims i have so i would like to use those for my fronts. im on a budget of about $800 for rims only but will spend up to $1,000 shipped. nothing more than that though. if you guys know some place local thats even better (NJ, NY, PA) new or used.. can you guys help me out. where do you guys order your rims from??

9.5" wide is about the widest you will find cheap... TSW makes a pretty decent wheel that you can find in 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 which is perfect for a cheap wheel setup, I run 285's on the back of my car with rolled fenders, a little negative camber and +35 offset, which is also pretty standard...

Only because my dad will be paying for the most of them, the tires will take centuries to die.

if your gonna go stock wheel type either use your stock or get supra TT rims, which are 17" and u can run wide tires on. that would be pure performance.

many of us go into the 18" or 19" range though cause it looks better on the SC.
18" is probably the best balance for performance and looks, 19" a little more looks and less sidewall. 20" chrome is just slowing you down man, let alone just standard 20" rims.

when i throw my stock wheels back on for winter (19's get put away) I swear my car feels like its much faster

yeah you wouldn't want to down grade...........but its this wholesale rim spot in Newark where i buy my rims and tires from.........if you pick something off the showroom floor they give a really good price.....vs them having to order a rim...........its located off of Bloomfield Ave.....the street is called Garside...If your coming from Bloomfield you would make a left on Garside.....and if you coming from downtown you will make a right.
