Default Got into an accident need help.

My brother ended up getting into an accident in his sc400.

A bit of the paint peeled off, no biggie but the bumper is no longer aligned right with the hood. It looks like the bumper is a bit lower then the hood now, so there is a gap.

What needs to be done to fix this?

was it hit head on? most likely you can just replace the bumper reinforcement which is the thin wire frame that the high beams are attached to support the bumper. i have one if you end up needing it

He said they were going 5mph and she slammed on her brakes, and he just tapped her car. Not sure who is going to be found at-fault, roads were wet and the police didnt write anything up on the report.

I'm guessing the header panel, deformed and took all of the damage since he said her car was okay besides getting a little white paint on it.

SCboy I could use that header panel, would you be willing to help me out? I've never removed the front bumper before.

but I'm home this weekend if you want to get the part, and I could give you a few pointers. It's pretty straightforward

The hood might not be fully closing now.

Its weird, neither the cop nor my dad was able to tell it was damaged, but i was easily able to tell.

Here are some more pics. Notice the hood gap on between the 2 cars. Its deceptive but the sc300 is actually normal while the 400 has its hood above the bumper. Also notice how my finger gets blocked by the bumper.
Good sc300:

Bad sc400:

the flimsy metal support that holds the bumper got pushed in, take the bumper off, and pull it out, and test fit it, should take a few hours to fix, but nothing major

dude, you can fix that in ten minutes...

open the hood, pull the weather stripping out that goes along the top of the bumper - here you'll find 6 or so screws holding a metal strip on top of the bumper itself - all you need to do is loosen those screws and push out on the bumper while you tighten them back... reinstall the weather stripping and good to go...

Thanks for that info

I always wondered why my front bumper was lower after removing it.
