UR2klose, Those are the original pillars, the paint on the pillars were likely flaking/fading and the owner scrapped of the remaining paint. I read on this board that chrome is under the black paint. I would just repaint the pillars black if you don't like the current chrome effect. The link below has a DIY step by step process on how to fix the pillars.

Yes I would say just repaint them black that way when you tint the windows there won't be a break in the flow if you know what I mean.

Your car look's good without the 5% Tint. I don't think that the Chrome Door Pillars would look good with the 5% Tint. I like how the Tint flow from the front window to the rear window

Rarely can these things be played off right. I almost got a pair for my car but I would rather not drive around California with really dark tint and some illegal mods under the hood. I have seen some black satin ones like the ones Junction Produce makes for the GS. That I would put on my SC if they made it.

black out the chrome trim while your at it too

 

You should lose the chrome any thing but the chrome............I dont know if this will look aight but maybe you should change it red and leave the windows fish bowled........but the black will go hard with 5%
