Default Lower Control Arm Washer

Well until I order the supra LCA I had someone put me a used lexus LCA on my ride. The thing is whenever I go over a bump I feel everything and it thuds like hell. Well I look under the car and the washer thats supposed 2 b there between the bolt and the frame is gone. Dude just screwed the bolt back on without the washer. Do you guys think that could b the reason why the car is acting the way it is?

Might want to make sure your lug nuts are tight.

i thknk it can be way... that is your cam adjuster (adjusts camber). mine bolt stripped the whole inside of it and ti has the sape of a big D. imne was like a O lol. My LCA moved around when i hit bumps and changed the direction of the car. The bolt is probably moving freeling in there and you alignmant may be really off. You need one. It was about 13 bucks form the dealer.

The Cam bolt does not have a washer its a bolt with the degree marking for setting the alignment and its all attached theres no way he could have installed bolt with out it. What "washer" are you referring to? There are no "washers" when changing the LCR's. I swapped mine and reinstalled and with no washers and I have no noise. Could be that used LCA is bad too or struts are bad or strut mounts or any of the other bushings under there. Its tough to tell where its coming from.

Ok thats what it is the camber adjuster. Its not there dude must of just bought a regular nut that fit and screewed it back on. So with that being said do you think thats what the problem is? And yeah the alignment is way I mean way off. To get the car to steer straight the steering wheel is turned to about 2oclock **** sucks lol.

Thats pretty @#$tty ur guy did that. That part is key and reason he did that was cuz the bolt is like $20 at dealer and usually has to be ordered. YES you have to replace it otherwise u will not be able to align the car. However I dont necessarily believe that is causing the clunking/thud in the front end but my concern is if he took shortcut on the bolt what else did he do.

My first course of action would be to replace the camber bolt and see if noise still happens but another issue you have is if you align now u will have to align again with new arms but thats ur call if u want to pay twice and at $99/pop uve paid for one side of the control arms.

Could be struts or strut mounts, could be the LCA u put on there were bad also, could be some of the other bushings could also be the install too. You have to start narrowing things down. Replace the bolt and then look under there for wear on other bushings. Quite a few people on here recommend replacing all the rubber at this age under there I personally havent for a number of reasons but it wouldnt hurt to inspect the numerous other pieces of rubber under there while u got it on a lift.

Is the noise only coming from 1 side only from the front or front and rear?

Its coming from the front drivers side. It just clunks at any slight dip or imperfection on the road. Its very annoying. It almost sounds like the car doesnt have any give on the road.

Were the bushings still intact on the used lca you put on? I'm leaning more towards that washer/disc thats missing.
