Hello!
I am very interested in someday owning a lexus sc300 so that I can modify it.

I am wondering if it is easy to bring the sc300 weight down to 3200lbs? Is it easily attainable?

And with regards to NA-T, how does the stock transmission hold up? Did they make a manual transmission for the sc300? I'm looking for a early to mid nineties model.

Would I just need the basic (turbo, manifold, downpipe, intake, intake manifold??, map ecu or similiar, and clutch)?

second, ur questions has been beaten to a pulp here. ur best bet is to use the search function.

 

If you double the weight you'll need 4x power. Thats HP equasion to weigh.

I wonder if it works the same in reverse?

3200 is easily possible. Theres too many extras in these cars.

sc300 weight down to 3200lbs, possible but alot to take out in order get it. a first would be the seats.

any w58 should be able to handle 400hp, but thats already risking it, at that point i would go with a r154.

depending on how much lbs your putting... for about 400hp and below, stock injectors should do the job.

just a word of advise, if your planning to na-t and asking these kind of questions, might want to learn your stuff before you end up ruining the sc. but im sure thats why your asking in the first place right?

Does the stock 5spd tranny (besides clutch) handle 600whp?

I want to personally piece together my own kit. I'm assuming the stock GE heads and pistons/rods can handle 600whp...

I can't find a great website for GE parts (turbo manifold and intake manifold in particular). Please correct me if I am wrong by saying: all Toyota Supra N/A parts will be identical to the sc300 GE...

Are there any good, effective, and proven intake manifolds out there for the sc300 that won't cost me $2000+? The Works Performance Godzilla Series?

1: no, unless you don't wanna really use your 600hp
2: the jz series engines are proven 10,000x over
3: welcome to the world of jz hp, there are cheap ebay knock off's which are lame but work. there are a lot of good vendors listed in clublexus and supraforums. supraforums even has individual vendor forums for questions that regard their own products
3.5: not all parts are interchangable but i'd say its safe to say 90% are
4: see Q# 3 knockoff's suck. people have used the lower runners and have welded their own custom surgetank for a nice custom na-t manifold.
