Default spring & strut inquiry

it may be a while until i do this but i just have a quick question.

ok, i want to go with a spring & strut setup for my SC but not sure which to go with. these are my 2 options:

1) Espelir springs and Tokico struts for the SC

or

2) Sprint springs and Tokico struts for the Supra

which will give me a lower drop? better ride?

The SC Espelirs advertise a drop of f: 2.2" and rear: 2.4".
The Supra Sprints advertise a drop of 1.8" all around.

When you install Supra springs/shocks on an SC it should add roughly 0.5" of lowering height.

Therefore, both of the setups mentioned should give you roughly the same amount of drop.

As far as the ride goes, look into the spring rates of each spring and the type of shocks used. The Supra Sprint springs should be better dampened since they will be paired with the Tokico Illuminas. The SC Espelir setup may be impaired by required use of the Tokico Blues.

What he said is true, but I've realized that advertised drops by spring companies usually aren't all that true, where the Supra struts have apparently proven to add a drop.

Why not go with coilovers?

i would love to get coilovers but it seems like the only one i can afford is the tein basic. and from what i've heard the basics aren't that great. also, the coilovers may be too stiff of a ride as i love the smooth ride of lexus. any truth to this?

i think i like the Supra setup best. ~2.3" drop all around.

Everyone I know with the basic kit complains about rear springs rattling. If you can spend the extra couple hun. and get the Tein ss.In the soft setting the car drive almost like stock.I really like them.Good luck with what ever set up you do.

Haha, yea I like the stance of your SC. which is why its one of my options. I'm leaning towards the spring/strut setup.
