Default what would you do?

I was thinking of selling my '92 sc3 but am conflicted on pricing... its basically stock but has a couple of minor upgrades... apex'i dual mufflers, k&n air filter, and a massive aftermarket stereo system. Along with those goodies, it also has cracking leather seats, and needs some minor bodywork and paint. Kelly blue book is about $4k+... considering body/paint and the condition of the interior, would $3k be fair? Someone offered me $2800 but I dont know... help.

I would keep it cleaned up and start at $3400.00 then if you have to go down some. Also how many miles?

I'd detail it and put it up for 4k and say you're flexible. It's worth more than 2,800.

I got my 5spd '92 with 136k on it for 4,500. Talked them down from 4,800. It has numerous paint flaws, and the interior isn't the best, so I don't think you'll have a problem asking 4.

Thanks for the input guys. The paint is beyond the point of detailing it... the clear coat is peeling everywhere and the hood and trunk is primered black... there's also several pin holes along both front and rear bumpers due to a lip kit that was improperly installed by the previous owner... the guy used wood screws for the kit ! as far as the interior, the carpet is stained in several places and the dash needles are all burned out. Other than that it runs like a champ and I just replaced the water pump, belts, and hoses. I love the car but as of right now with gas prices and the lack of my employment, seems logical to sell it and keep my civic I just cant afford to keep two cars and my truck. With that said, what should be my selling price... I have some money saved and can hold off on the sale for now but will eventually need to do something. What do you guys think?

I'd say take no less than $3500, but of course, clean the car up before posting it.

If you have a civic for a DD, take the 2800 and be happy, don't be greedy. A buyer won't always be there when you are ready to sell.

id try to get 3400 out of it, once you clean it up somewhat and keep the stereo system if you want.
