Default cloth,hardtop,5speed worth it ?

I don't know if the owner is on this board if he is please pm me. I didn't think I would ever post one of these threads. As far as the ad it goes.

"Any questions, just ask

1993 Lexus SC300
5 speed
155xxx miles
19/25 MPG
new clutch about 2000 miles ago
tokico blues with espelir springs.
evo rims
Comes with most of an xspower turbo kit. Kit can be seen as club na-t forum, Stock wheels with basically new tires, and a IN dash dvd that needs installed!
Needs some paint on the bumpers and rocker panel fixed and car would look new!
$4000

"

how hard would that rocker panel be to fix ? really can't go wrong for 4k as long as the trans and motor arn't beat to ****.

that rocker panel would be easy to fix if you just threw a sideskirt over it lol

since the car comes with all those extra goodies id say its a good deal. you dont need leather cuz it burns your a-ss in the summer and freezes it in the winter and sunroof is just dead weight.

if you dont plan to turbo the car any time soon i say sell the turbo kit. this way the car will technically cost you even less.

rocker panel repair shouldnt cost that much and a set of 97+ sideskirt would cover it up nicely.

btw make sure that rocker panel damage was not due to the car being t-boned or any other type of accident that may ruin the structural integrity of the vehicle.

U want my honest opinion that door looks to be replaced, It looks a little off white than the rest of the car. The owner replied to my email about the motor and trans and this is what I got.

"New clutch a few thousand miles ago. Shifts good, 2nd can grind sometimes if you press the clutch all the way down when shifting but smooth and easy for rest of the trans. Can runs perfectly, brand new radiator and crank pulley. Sounds good and pulls hard"

that grinding trans scares me cause replacements are nowhere near cheap and getting a 1jzgte emmisions passed around here is hard to do let alone find a 5spd swap.

yeah I think I'm gonna pass on it , from a couple more emails it sounds like it has a good amount of body problems and I don't want to replace a trans in the near future. thnx for the opinions so far.

I have cloth seats (had, recently replaced with suede Recaro's) and no sunroof.

Over here there's not much use for sunroof's and a car this age with leather will need to be recovered.

The lower spec models are a lot lighter and lighter = faster :-)
