Default TT seats

I found a set of TT seats that are a good deal.

The only thing stopping me from doing so is losing the heated seats. I REALLY like having that, plus I hate having useless switches.

Can I stick my heat pads somewhere from the OEM seats? What is another route?

I liked the heated seats when i needed em, im probably going to install a set while i get the seat covers changed on my seats. You probably could re-use the old heat pads, but it would require tearing up the old seats. There are plenty of aftermarket units out there that i'm going to look into, saw some on leatherseats.com just for starters.

also consider looking into some new and/or extra padding for the seat, hurts my butt a bit on long road trips

i hope youre a tall mother****er, those seats sit really low! I bought a set, couldnt use them, sold them to RedPhoenix, he's a little taller, he couldnt use them so he sold them to Gunnar, I believe.

The heated seats is probably not something that you'll be able to convert onto the supra seats without a bit of money spent... a good bit of money.

If you go with them post up some pics

Yes, they do sit low, but I'm surprized that two of you found them unsuitable. I'm a normal 5'10" height and found them to be fine. I kept the oem seats at their maximum low setting and always wished they went a little lower.

There is a decent weight savings with the TT seats, they're about ~ 50lbs driver and 38 passenger. The Lexus are about 80lb driver and 75 passenger.

I decided to buy them anyway. I'll getting them sometime this week from the place I found them.

I also decided to keep my factory seats as...get this...

WINTER SEATS...lol

Winter rims, winter seats--awesome.

What needs to be done to install the TT seats? Or what can I do so I can easily convert back for the winter?

Pics will come this weekend.

They drop in perfectly. I did not cut the eom harness, I used splicing clips to connect the electronic adjustments. I do miss my memory seat positions, you loose that in the swap. The passenger side seat becomes full manual and you miss that cool forward tilt feature also.

I never could fix my seltbelt light.

My TT seats are for track day and oem seats for the rest of the time.

I love my Supra seats as now i can fit in the cat without having to slouch in the seat. I also have a few inches headroom, maybe just enough for a helmet come track day. This summer i might try to splice my seatbelt wires into the OEM seat harness just so i can have a functioning light in my dash. Also when i change the leather i'll also invest in some seat heaters just to keep the exsisting switches functional and looking OEM altogether.

I know they drop in and bolt up perfectly, but as far as wiring goes what needs to be done. When I search I see tons of random stuff and nothing matches up. Seems like theres a few versions of TT seats.

To be specific, these are a set of tan 93 TT seats with a power driver seat.

I want to make it so I can easily swap seats when I want.

Can someone find a write up or just PM me what to do? I've never had to seats out of the SC before.

I had 98 style seats (fixed headrest) so this may or may not work for your setup, but let me outline what i had to do. The harness for the adjusting motors fit the SC harness no problems, although you do loose memory seating. For the seatbelt wiring, they did NOT work with the SC harness leaving my seatbelt warning light on in my dash. I may try to splice both seatbelt buckle harness into the SC harness, or i could just remove the bulb in the dash altogether. This is from my experience, hopefully there are some more stories out there.
