mines temporarily rigged, it works, reads 10psi.

but i have to hold it in place whenever i close my door lol





the part on the intake that its run off of, does it serve any significant purpose becuase it had a 4" hose in it w/ a screw blocking the end...pretty sure thats not stock lol

 

I drilled a hole in the firewall and ran it through that, then snaked it up along the dash (hidden in the rubber sealing) and into an a-pillar gauge.

 

was thinking about it but was worried about hitting somehting on the way thru.

whered u drill yours?

 

Somewhere back by the pedals, I don't remember exactly. Just made sure it didn't look like it was going to drill into anything and went for it.

 

The way i ran wire threw was drilling a hole under the brake booster from inside. Just look up under the dash and see what is running threw the fire wall such as clutch, gas pedal, brake. This gives u a way to see where u need to be on the other side of the firewall. As a circuitcity roadshop installer ive drilled threw alot of firewalls and the SC isnt the easiest imo but it isnt the hardest.... Cadillac CTS also use a really small drill bit to see where u r at on the other side as a safety step.

 

why are you guys drilling through the firewall? Just run the line through where the main harness is on the passanger side of the vehicle. Worst comes to worst if your too lazy for that, just run it through the rubber boot in the firewall that surrounds the steering column...

run it where you run wires for a subwoofer.

on the drivers side to the left and up of the clutch there is a large rubber gromet and it goes straight into the engine bay. you will need to use a wire coat-hanger but no need to drill holes.

The blue wire in the picture is my subwoofer gauge wire, took me 5 minutes and 1 beer

 

I know this is super old but im having a hard time wiring up my gauges to a 12v dimmer and a 12v supply to the fuse box for the oil gauge, they are VDO

I cant tell what color wires is what

 

i wish there was a write up on what wires to tap into for the boost gauge... a whole DIY thread. I can't find what I need...Im installing a Greddy boost gauge w/peak hold, Ill figure it out and write one up if everything goes to plan.

 

Why drill the firewall or go through the boot for the steering?? There is a harness that passes through the fender to the inside by the drivers kick-panel fuse box. There is more than enough room there, and can be pulled through by simply pulling back the fender liner. Just poke a small hole in the rubber seal and the wire/vacuum line is right next to the interior fuse box. I have everything run through there including the cable for my battery relocation (2awg cable) and dont have to worry about hitting it with my foot when I get in the car. Anyone that has relocated their fender harness will know what I am talking about. Drivers side, behind the fender closest to the door.

I tapped the cell phone power wires under the center armrest/glove box. Even though my SC never had a cell phone the connectors are still there. Fuse box in the engine bay has the fuse. It's a fused connection to protect the gauges and comes on with ignition. Only thing was I had to lengthen the power wires from the gauges by about 2'. for running the wires, I drilled through the firewall, down to the left of the brake booster.
