Default wierd climate control problem???

I just picked up a SC400 with a 2JZGTE swap. ( I've owned a turbo IS300prior) For some reason when you have the climate controls on (AC, Def, Heat etc.) and push down on the button on the auto shifter to put it into gear, the all of the lights on the control unit turn off and the blower stops runnning...

Any Ideas?

Find someone to rewire the car that knows what they are doing.

I bought the car from a guy who had GRIP in FL do the wiring on the swap.
I am waiting to hear back from them, but meanwhile I figure I would see if anyone had any ideas...sometimes if I jiggle the shifter left or right while pushing the button and putting it in gear, the controls still work...

could it be the park /neutral switch somehow?

Grip is about 30mi away from me, I've fixed a many of their screwups that they charge top dollar for. Please revert back to that image.

I'd take the center console out and see whats going on. Screwing up the climate control is pretty hard to do.

I have taken out the climate control unit, radio etc.. in the center console. Also have taken off the cover and what not on the shifter as well so im down to the bare shift assembly and connectors. Guess its time to start buzzin out wires back to the ecu to see if im gettin continuity thru them all..

would anyone happen to have a schematic of an Aristo ECU?? lol

Its odd that the park/neutral switch so it seems would affect the climate control.. I didnt see any wires gettin pinched by the shifter and I am pretty damn sure it is that switch...

Find the fuse for the climate control in the kick panel.

Look at the fuse lengthwise, bend one blade slightly to the right and the other blade slightly to the left. Replace...

I had a goofy climate problem that would go on and off going over bumps, moving the gear selector, whatever.

Slight voltage spikes or draws musta been the cause of my problem...cause I haven't seen it since.

hmmm... I will give it a shot.... thanks for the idea!! its somewhere to start. unfortunately my problem can happen when im not even moving yet.. just pushing in the button on the shifter and not even moving the shifter can cause my controls to go off..

I guess if you want something done right and work all the time, you need to do it yourself.
I almost feel bad for the dood who paid a shop to wire up his 2jzgte swap and ended up with these kinda problems.. maybe that is why he sold it to me at a good price??

could be a wire from your climate control that might be cut or maybe there is a problem with the acutal climate controlcause if it does this when the car is off and not in motion, there is something wrong and if those dudes hooked up any of the tranny electrical wiring by or near the climate control this might be causing this, be very careful when removing the center console, i've seen ppl think they know what they are doing and then comeback with things not working properly. GL.
