Just bought 92 SC 400
Moisture in headlights. How to fix? Or can buy new and they are good to go? Other interesting issues with this car? And how to fix or cost to fix? Can do yourself (inexperienced)? Thanks for all help.
congratulations
while reading this, look up a bit to the upper right hand corner. you will see a search button. use it. its your best friend. using the search button is the most fun you can have with your clothe on.

I followed OLT's headlight cleaning procedure ans resealed them. The headlights looked a little better but IMHO it wasn't worth it. I had water in my headlights and the procedure didn't fix it.
I fianlly got rid of the condensation by placing fourteen (yes, 14!) silica gel packs into the assembly. I live in Florida and I was amazed that these packs could do it.

i put 2 silica packs and drilled 22 (yes 22!) small holes on the underside (black housing). I was reluctant at putting holes at first but after trying anything and everything, it was down to drilling holes. I figured if it still doesnt work, i'll just replace with brand new headlights. but yeah, open it up first and then clean the inside of your headlight cover. also a good time to do a retrofit. if not, just polish off your projector lenses.
