new ride!
I picked up my "new" car from gazi the other day and started work on it right away. Already swapped in my yellow top and started cleaning.
The car is a 1993 SC300. Yay for OBD1. 135k Miles. Spruce silver + gray interior.
My plans are basically to clean it up, it is DIRTY. I don't know if it was the last owner or if the car was sitting but man... The paint is in pretty good shape, it just needs a good detailing job.
Once its cleaned I'm gonna give it a thorough tune up make sure the motor is running properly and probably throw on the turbo head gasket since im gonna be in there.
I'm redoing the interior with some brand new leathers from leatherseats.com
After that its gonna be wheels, I'm going for some work CR kai's... 8.5 +12 and 9.5 +12 or something of that sort. Already spoke with derrick from D2 on getting that going.
Body work... Springs + other suspension components... Turbo Kit... eventually a 97+ body upgrade and so forth.
So basically a total restore and then fun time.
I will then register it and enjoy it.
Known problems:
Door locks look like they're sticking.
Key gets stuck in the door at times so im getting a new key from sewell
Car idles @ 100 (needs a TB cleaning)
Driver side glass is broken
Car is dirty... lol
Need very minor body work
3 flats. LOL. Travis has a ****load of sc300/400 wheels in his backyard so yea.
I forget what else.
Now some pics. These are the before. Wait till you see the after

Yep... its a real project... I don't mind at all though. It's gonna be fun. I'm off to go do some more cleaning! Hopefully I can also get the throttle body cleaned out and get it to idle normally.
Curry, congrats on the new car, you bounced back pretty quickly, considering your brother just smacked the blk car up around the holidays. (?)
Good job getting the car from Gazi, I've been telling people about him and his brother's shop for years.
Even if you decide to go another route with wheels, let me know. We have some plans on deck for east coast promotion of 1pc brands that are not as common, for '08
Good luck with the car!

key sticking, spray some wd40 in there, simple fix.
Seriously........I hope you know what your doing.
That car is a basket case.
Plenty of savings, not for the faint of heart.
