what is the difference between the 1997 rear bumper and like the 1995?

 

first off, search please, there are several sources on CL that have just what you're looking for. second, the extensions are the difference. the 97+ lip/extension, whatever you would like to call it were longer than previous years.

Yeah, the bottom part is different. I think the 97+ rear bumper looks slightly lower/taller than the 92-96 because of the bottom lip, which I like because it makes the top trunk part look a little smaller/thinner when the bumper appears bigger (i.e Supra, 97+ SC). The 92-96 rear bumper bottom fades underneath like the rest of the body and can sometimes partly be hidden, and also the 92-96 has a solid line in the bumper. The 97+ style has a different kind of line, I think, instead of a solid line like this: --- it's a less distinct, more faint wider line similar to this: ===. The 97+ rear bumper lip forms the line.

 

look at pictures of both bumpers? that should work
