What's In Your Tool Box?
Guys, this one is going to need some input. I have a tool box just for my car, one with odds and ends for most things Lexus wise. I posted earlier on battery cleaning. That disturbed me a little, and people, there are just some things that are so cheap you can't afford not to have it.
Battery cleaner and spray $5
Anti-freeze tester $3 (get the good one, the glass ones are one time)
Set of metric open ended wrenches $10
Black or Silver Duck Tape $3
Can of anti-seize $2
Dry Carbon Lubricant $2 (locks, hinges, etc)
WD40 $2 (small can, big cans take up space)
three of those red shop rags $(15 for like $5)
Can of brake fluid $4
Quart of Oil $5 (M1 for me)
Air Guage $1
Spark Plug Gapper $1
Box of various fuses $2
Couple of Valve stem caps $ .25
MagLight $20 (Buy one. I don't care if you think its stupid, you will use it some day. Maybe to change a flat, maybe to beat someone off of your wife. You WILL use it.)
A lighter $. 50
Zip Ties (3 sizes) $2
Wire Strippers $3
A screwdriver that has 4 different size tips in the handle $3
A pen and small pad of paper $1
Small Pocket Knife $2
Calling Card $5 (I have used it before, cell went dead. Be careful, those things expire after 6 months of using it.)
Small Bottle of RainX $4 (wiper motor goes out, wipers bad, etc...)
Small can of touch up paint $3
5 dollar bill (gas, etc)
Condoms $5

Lotta Insurance for around $60-$70 bucks. Plus I have Sears RoadSide assistance. Best on the market, IMHO. Saved my butt a few times, and a few others when their companies screwed them over.

In my car I keep a leatherman tool.
In my garage, I have two Kennedy tool chests with most any tool you might require for working on our cars. It's amazing how there is a tool for like, every job out there.
Only drive the car for sunny day fun so I don't keep anything in her.
Having the coupe is sooo much fun when you keep them as a hobby and don't have to worry about getting her back together to go to the store or work.

In my boot (trunk) I keep:
Small tool box, with spanners. sockets, vice grips, electrical tape, pliers, and electrical stuff.
Full set of springs and struts (dampers).
Original airbox and CAT.
Oil & brake fluid.
Cleaning/polishing materials
Half a dozen lengths of 6x2 (getting over ramps/tall kerbs).
Two small boy scouts and lots of other stuff, in fact I have trouble closing the lid.
There is a weight penalty but it stops the rear tyres from just spinning round.
My three cell Maglite is in the door pocket, very handy for beating off traffic wardens and unwanted windscreen cleaners.

Hmm, off the top of my head I have in my trunk:
1 qt of oil, tools to replace tire, jack, fuses, small can of wd40, electrical tape, air guage, 1 can of fix-flat, universal screwdriver, 1 First-aid kit, 1 slightly dented golf club...
In the car I have a 20$ (gas, emergency car wash
, etc), 1 Tazer, and 1 small pepper spray canister.
It looks like I'm ill-equipped, I think I will have to do a little shopping tommorow.

Unfortunately Pepper Sprays and Tazers are illegal in the "Nanny State" United Kingdom, you are forced to get out the car and get physical with transgressors, the last one put a huge dent in the side of my car as we tangoed (he did get a good kicking though).
The nice Police officer explained that I only had my Maglite in my hand at the time because it was dark as I would have broken the law if I had intended to use it in self-defence.
Some time ago the UK banned hand pistols to "prevent crime", I am sure all the villains queued up to hand them in.

The UK bans hand pistols and a few years later the murder rate in London skyrockets. Yeah, the criminals always turn in their illegal weapons....
Go NRA!
