Default Excessive wind noise?

Do you guys have noise problems from the sunroof? Even though my sunroof is closed and everything, sometimes it sounds like it's still open...it gets pretty damn noisy. Anyone else with that problem? Would a deflector thing solve the problem? Too bad it's not aesthetically pleasing...

I have not had any problems with the wind noise from the sunroof.. Maybe it's time for new sunroof stripping..

PLEASE, PLEASE..... DO NOT get a sunroof bubble deflector!!! It truly takes away from the clean lines of the SC or truly ANY car for that matter... It was in during the 80's(sorta) and early 90' but not in 2002!!!! If you have one take it off...(sorry guys that have them..)

Howie, do not do it............

I am leaning toward the sunroof bubble deflector to reduce the wind noise for my SC400s. Both of my SC have the same wind noise issue. Only if can see a picture of a SC with one. If it doesn't look too bad, I'll put it on my car. The wind noise is getting to me lately.

My car has some when the "shade" is open, but if I close the shade the noise is not audible. I guess its a design flaw if pretty much everybody has some noise.

Thumbs up

Shade closed, no noise; shade open, reasonable. I like the bubble on some cars. The Honda Accord and some of the BMW's I think have added attraction with them. Haven't seen on on an SC. Different stokes, different folks.

There are two drain holes in both front corners of the sunroof. The other ends are by the rear wheels in the fenders. What you hear is the road noise.
My understanding is that this is one of the few problems that we all have seen with SC's.
Some people attach the thin part of a balloon at the fender end of the drain to cut the noise and allow water to get out.

For me:

Shade open...quite noisy
Shade closed...quiet noisy

hehe...

My solution so far:
Turn up the radio

i have some wind noise that seems to be entering through the base of my front windshield. Does anyone know what this could be? Perhaps a bad seal?

Can someone who has the manuals post the instructions on how to remove glass moon roof to fix rubber seal or for replacement.
