If a JZ engine goes into a MKIII Supra with just a change in mounts, an M engine may make it into an SC300 with just a change in mounts. However, that is unlikely. I say this because a UZ engine, which works on the SC cross-member with the proper mounts (obviously), requires custom mounts to fit into a MKIII Supra.

The second question would be viability. The 7M, turbocharged, brings as much fire power to the party as a 2JZ-GE in n/a form. While the 7M is upgradeable, so is the 2JZ. Dollar for dollar, the 2JZ will out-upgrade the 7M every step of the way.

If someone was giving me a 7M-GTE, it would have to have less than 50k miles and a metal head gasket already swapped in for me to even consider taking it. At that point, I would sit it in my garage until I found a cheap MKIII, MKII, or Cressida to swap the motor into in the hopes of building a fun 300whp car for a couple grand. I would certainly not fabricate custom mounts to fit it into an SC300.

actually a 90-92 supra uses the same mounts. but yah it would be honestly a waste of time and money. since stock to stock the 2j na produces the same power and instant not on boost. and un less its free a 2jna can be had for same if not cheaper than the 7mgte
