Mitsuguy: Do you ever drive around on Saturday nights watching the races? I think I saw you a couple of weeks ago. That is, if you live in Vegas.

The only time I turn it off is when the orange fuel light comes on(since my needle is dead) and I'm not near a preferred gas station. IMO the car should have been this way permanently from the factory, with the button being for "winter/snow" mode. I love the way that it downshifts more quickly and holds the gears longer before upshifting. It's as close as I can get to a manual with the current slushbox, so I milk it for all it's worth. Never had any problems, and you shouldn't either as long as your car is properly maintained as it was recommended earlier.
Really depends on how heavy your foot is. I get about 250 miles for 1/2 a tank if i drive like a relatively sane person, and 210-215ish (once as low as 188) if I don't reign myself in(with the ECT on). I don't feel like going back to receipts more than a year old to find out my mileage when I wasn't using ECT(about the 1st 6 months I owned the car).

) no sitting in traffic. Once I obtain a speed, I can usually maintain it until I get off. I hate driving in dallas during the day. I want to murder someone when I have to. I have a 300. Nothing special done to it. regular synthetic oil changes. regularly change the air filter. sythetic tranny and diff fluid. bosch platinum 2 plugs. wires are still the same ones that came on the car. I'll change those when I get around to the distributor cap & rotor, which will be about the same time i put in the new radiator that's been sitting in my foyer for a month
I keep as much stuff out of my car as possible, which includes the spare & jack. I rarely have passengers(you can FEEL the difference when you do). I rarely use the AC(most of my travel is early morning and much later in the day, so it's cooler). I check and adjust my tire pressure whenever I get gas(2x a week, Chevron and Quik Trip have free air, but Exxon charges, but I rarely go there). That's it. I don't drive like a granny(my lawyer can attest to that - if anyone in the dallas area needs a referral, hit me up, I've got 2 really good ones
) and there's nothing particularly special, just a combination of factors I guess. Oh, to answer your other question, I always leave the ECT on. The only time it gets turned off is if if I'm not near one of the three above mentioned gas stations when the fuel light comes on, but between them, they're pretty much everywhere.
Almost all of my driving is on the highway - 98%, and I travel off-hours so there's (usually - unless TXDOT is f'ng up another road

So you have a 5spd sc300 or an auto? I get about 19 mpg with stop and go constantly. I'm only on the highway for about 1/2 of a mile. Im about to yank my AC though i never use it and could use the power gain and stop draining power from my engine.
