Hot Air from inside cabin
Does anyone know why is my cabin filled with hot air everytime i drive for 20 min? the air just get's hotter and hotter? How to fix this problem and why it happen is the real question.
thanks
thanks
Well the air from the cabin always switched to re-circulate and the temperature **** always on cold, i cant see any other button that i could play around with so that it'll stop hot air from coming in.
What do u mean by the circuit? where is it located.

On my 92 LS the abient air temperature sensor is mounted on the dress panel just above the driver's knees. It's a thermister, basically a simple resister that increases its resistance as the temperature declines. An open sensor circuit here would be telling the ECU that the cabin is extremely cold and thus the system would always be trying to heat it up.

More fuel, no.
If the Sc has the sensor in about the same location there should be a small louvered "window", about one inch square or less, just above your right knee. If you remove that panel you should be able to get to the sensor and shorting it out completely will make the system think the car is TOO hot. If shorting it does have that effect then the open wiring in the circuit is somewhere between the sensor and the ecu.

I got the same/exact problem with CmputerWiz. I searched but couldn't find any solution. Would someone help me to identify how fix it. The heat is starting really bother me since the weather is very hot here in So Cal.
The heat was not coming from the vents. It came from the left side/passenger side console. Is there a sensor which I can replace?
Thank you,
Net..
If the heat is coming from the console area and not the vents, then it's most likely heat from the transmission tunnel. I've seen that addressed but can't remember what the recommendations are. The sensors should only affect vent temperature.
I'll continue searching.
Hello everyone....this should hold the answer to your problem. There are plenty of pics to show the process...good luck.

I don't think it's the solution. Hot 'air" didn't come from the vent. It came from the left side of the center console. Actually, it wasn't the air. It was the heat. There were threads on this regarding the heat came from the transmission.
It's coming from the boot of the shifter from under the tunnel. It can get torn up from time and heat. That's why I replaced mine with the gated shifter back then. It pretty much solved the heat problem.
