Default driver side headlight parking light has burn mark inside plastic

i was curious, do many people notice that there is a burnt area in the tube where the small bulb next to the low beam is in their headlight? i saw it on another local sc and thought it might be common.

any fixes for it?

Mine is the same way and the only way i know to fix it is to get a new one and take your light apart and put the new part in.

I have it. I just replace the bulb and try and clean that little cylinder the best way you can.

i figured if i take the headlight out and remove the bulb socket, i can get in there with a flat head and scrape away the bad area. or someho sand it down? can that be done? is there enough room to get in there with a tool and scrape it? also are you saying that the plastic tube piece can be removed? maybe i will just remove it completly. i was planning on getting rid of those bulbs anyways. i dont like those light being there.

You have to open the headlight to remove that clear plastic dome cover thing. If you take out the bulb, a long screwdriver might get in there. I removed my parking lights a long time ago, so much cleaner without them!
