I suspect that when you say small headlight bulb you may be referring to the parking light bulb located next to the low beam. If so, this is accessed by unfastening the front of the splash shield located in the wheel well to reach the back of the bulb housing. Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it and then pull bulb straight out of socket. If you were referring to the high beam or low beam, they are both accessed from under the hood. On the back of the headlight housing you will see plastic caps that remove by turning counterclockwise to expose the bulbs. Bulbs are standard and available amost everywhere, including Walmart

Default confirm light...please

the light I am referring to is the small light at the top next to the large headlight of three in the assembly. Please let me know if that can be accessed through the hood.

Thanks.

That's the parking light. You need to get that one through the splash shield in the wheel well.

I just replaced mine recently, what a PITA!

But I did run across this website that had great photos and descriptions on how to do the work: http://rx300how2.home.comcast.net/side_markers.htm

Good luck!
