So my car since I owned it has given me nothing but a trouble free mind.

today, 1/4 tank left, I decide to pull into the Hess on US19 next to books a million (nebraska). Fill up, 13 gallons okay cool.

I leave... 1/2 mile down the road the car starts to jerk. im on my way to USF (taking 60 to CC to 275) and its getting worse and worse. I pull over on CC and pull the negative battery, let it reset

i continue to go, still giving me ****, all the way to about fletcher... and the car feels fine, nothign wrong.

I leave, 275 the whole way home, between 60-100mph, no problems. hit US19, boom, car starts to jerk, buck like a bull.

CEL comes on. (Code 13) Knock Control CPU (ECM). or RPM signal, cant get a definite answer anywhere. but im like 95% sure its the knock.

I stopped at walmart, got some octane booster, threw it in to see if the car would stop being a retard, but its gotta mix in first ya know?


SO.. to sum it up.

Hess "93" made my car run like **** (maybe more than once). Bad gas can lead to jerking in the car (feels like misfire almost).

Plausible?



So what do I do now?
