Loss of Acceleration - Code C1201
I've had this bizarre issue happen twice now... first time it happened I thought it was a fluke. I just had the car serviced and they cleaned the battery terminal connections as a courtesy and then it happened about a day later. The recent occurrence happened today as I was driving down the highway.
Basically as I'm driving, the check engine light will flash, TCS and ESC lights come on. I can't accelerate anymore, RPM's are still normal but it the car slowly coasts and giving it gas does nothing. If I pull over and put the transmission in park, I can rev the engine so it doesn't seem like an engine issue. If I shut the car off and turn it back on, everything works just fine again. I pulled the code C1201 Engine control system malfunction from the car tonight but I don't see anything in the ISF forums about this code related to my issue. Anybody have any ideas? Like I said, this has happened twice about a year apart. The battery in the car is probably a year old so not sure if that may have any part in this.
