Still getting Code 21/27(or 28)
Hey guys! I changed all 3 of my O2 sensors with the Denso ones recommended by others on here about 3-4 months ago, but the codes WILL NOT go away. They're usually soft codes (CEL isn't on but codes still show up when I stick my tester on) but occasionally when I start the car, the CEL will pop on, then go off after a few miles.
I've removed the EFI fuse for at least 30 minutes, zip tied the battery terminals together over night, and for some reason, the codes still pop up when I plug in my tester.
The other day, my car broke down at work.. Wouldn't start for about a day, etc.. Then, it started and was idling fine for about 2 minutes, but as soon as I gave it enough gas to rev to about 2K and let off the gas, it was wanting to die again.
There is a slight gas smell coming from the air intake tube, but it's very slight, so I'm not sure if the fuel/air mixture is screwed up by a faulty MAF, or what...
Any suggestions? Car is a '95 GS300..
Thanks!

That sounds pretty similar to the problems I was having when I got my car. My problem was solved when I had my ECU Repaired. The compacitors inside of the ECU begin to leak and cause lots of crazy problems. This is a common issue with the 1st Gen GS and other Lexus/Toyota ECU from that ERA when they get older. Therd are a few companies that offer a repaif service. Good luck!!
