A = pi * r^2

r = 3 means A = 9*pi
r = 4 means A = 16*pi

Same principle with exhausts. 4" pipe can flow almost double the air as a 3" pipe.

don't worry, nothing crazy this time, will definately go KrazeMatik's route, but definately with bigger pipes.

is the plastic cover in the wheel well put back to normal or is there still a big opening in there? Looks like a great idea, and do you have to use the injen top pipe for this to work?

i don't think it HAS to be Injen, in fact, you could also make the Injen part the same way the rest of it was made, just gota get the right bends. and your better off having the plastic cover back in place, you get enough air from the front.

First off, i call bull**** on that "hydrolock".....That kind of water cannot cause hydrolock.

Second off, do you even know what hydrolock is?

Third, Hydrolock causes horrible damage to an engine, usually resulting in a bent rod or something of that nature....

will the aem bypass valve really help from getting water in the intake? b/c i just ordered one yesterday for my setup....

i agree with ant...i had a crx and had a custom aem cold air downpipe(too low) . one day it rained and i went into a puddle and water gulped plenty of water inside...it just stalled then i cranked it up and it started. dunno about "hydrolocking"
