If you are worried about water you can relocate the filter to the engine bay and seal it then have piping going from the bumper into the selaed box to creat a cold/Ram air effect.

i just did mine cai on my sc300 today with 2 1/2"-3" piping from my work place, i wanted to do 3" all the way but it wouldn't fit through the gap behind the passenger headlight but it turned out pretty decent. i'm just worry about the water thing you guys mentioned but my filter is pretty high up, you can barely see it through the bumper, plus i tied a black grocery bag in front of all them holes on the mud guard temporily to see if it will help from getting to much water in...

like i mention before in the thread that you have to hammer the side just a little bit down take no longer then 4 hits just enough for a 3 inch to fit, that is what i did with my.

That is one sexy drier hose!!!!

You could always use the TRD filter with the stock airbox and run a 4" hose similar to the one's pictured to get some cold air into it-- plus the larger 4" opening will make a difference that the BFI is known to make-- Opening the intake up with some holes has a positive effect by itself, until it gets hot outside--

thanks...thats my car by the way!

neways, you do feel the difference when you put a bigger intake on you ride. i changed from a 3" to 4", and my car pulled like a bat out of hell.

from a 3"...notice the intake and IC pipe is about the same size

to a 4"...notice the intake is like twice the size of the IC pipe
