From intellexual.net
The SC300s that came with optional Toyota W58 5-speed manual transmissions do not come equipped with traction control.

If you want traction control. Just get a 1.5 way Differential. That will give both wheels equal amounts of power.

Any LSD type "diff" will work.

Not the same.

Traction control is much more designed for traction in poor conditions by activating a secondary butterfly in the intake to reduce power and using the antilock braking system to apply brake pressure to the drive wheel that is spinning.

An LSD in poor weather, while enabling better traction from a start can also contribute to a spin if the driver is not careful, prepared, and somewhat skilled. Traction control helps to lessen the chance of a spin.

for those who have done a 2jzge engine swap do you use your old engine harness or just use the harness that came with engine. bacause it looks like the engine harness i have has to go through the firewall and hook up to the ecu.
also where is a good place to get a repair manual? tried ebay

i swapped my auto trans out and made it a 5 speed and the traction control still works.. even with my 5 speed ecu(i know there is a trac ecu too) and the only problem is i cant turn it off unless i open the hood and disconnect the butterfly valve on across from the sub tps.. but yes it works if all the rest of the trac components are there

Nope. No button, no light, no cover near the throttle body that says TRAC= No Traction Control.
