Default Power steering pump SUGGESTIONS!!!!

Have just installed my third PS pump this week!!!
First one leaked at seam not shaft o ring, second one forced fluid out of top of resovoir, third did not work after about 20 minutes. Yes, car has brand new rack, installed last week. I also checked hoses, any thoughts, whats eating the pumps? Not very likely to have 3 bad pumps!!
This is a nightmare!! Power steering pretty simple
system, pump, hoses, cylinder.

I had the almost same problem... I had gone through 3 pumps in 2 months though. I finally just got a new factory replacement pump and everything has been good ever since. I will never buy a rebuilt item like that again.

Where did you guy get your rebuild pump at?
I got mine from AutZone. Installed it two weeks ago, I'll let you know when it fail.

Paid ~$200 core included. Thinking about keeping the core to rebuild it myself.

Default Power Steering

Bap/Geon auto parts first two, Lexus reman.,
last one. Something causing pump failure.
Hoses look good, but they could be collapsing
on the inside and restrict flow??? Can't have
three bad pumps! I need someone that really
knows this system.

You may need new high pressure hose!!!
Recommend buying a shop manual to read up on this.
shop for price, I paid ~$90 for the 2 volumes and another $30 for the electrical

I thought that I couldn't have had 3 bad pumps before too, but after getting the factory one everything has been fine.. It just seems that the rebuilt ones just have bad tolerences or parts or something

Hey so 3 pumps Huh!!!!! That really sucks. If your aftermarket pump fails on you check out lexussc400.com. We sell dealer products under the dealers list price. Good luck. Carlos(lexussc400.com)

My Lexus mechanics say that 3 out of 5 reman pumps from after market companies usually fail really quick. They say stick with a Lexus oem or reman. pump only if a "Lexus mechanic" can not rebuild it for you...

Doesn't Toyota have the pump that would fit? I know there is one for LS, not sure about SC. It is cheaper and as reliable as "Lexus" one.
