Default Power Steering Pump Leak

Hello, My '93 is leaking power steering fluid around the pump. Besides that the steering is working fine, no noises, easy steering. Without removing the pump I can not pinpoint where the leak is coming from. I know on some cars the seal between the reservoir and the pump can be the culprit. Is this a possibility on this car. I don't want to spend the $$ on a new pump if all I need is an o-ring. Also, is it difficult to remove the pump? Any suggestions appreciated.

O-ring doesnt have anyhting to do with the P.S. Pump i believe. What you described was the same exact thing i had wit the pump. I did also have to replace the o ring ( with many other gaskets). It didn't seem like there was anything wrong wit the pump but i guess my friend mech. said there was. Therefore i'm guessing your P.S. pump is goin out and you'll prolly need to replace it. I got mine for 175 and 75$ core fee.

Replace ASAP -- I didn't fix mine, and the fluid leaked down into the A/C condenser, causing damage --and a big expense to rplace condenser.

I just noticed that the area around the pump is damp with fluid and the fluid level goes down over time. If there are no leaks in the system the fluid level will go down VERY slowly.
