Default Hood Struts

I've done a search but still want to query how people are addressing the hood struts dying on our cars.

Does anyone know if we can get them recharged or is buying new/used ones the best alternative?

Has anyone tried the same method the LS guys have used? http://www.cureline.net/lex/howtos/h...ood_shocks.htm

cheers,

i would roll with these...

Since our cars come with them stock, i think the placement would be quite easy.

hehe i always thought they were cool.

I paid $50 for used supports to a guy on here, so $30 for two seems very reasonable.

Hood struts are hood struts. Just buy aftermarket ones if money is an issue. They're cheap.
