Default ES300 hood struts replacement

The struts holding up the hood of my wife's 94 ES are failing (won't hold the hood up). Can anyone tell me whether one person can replace the struts without breaking his back or is the hood too heavy that requires 2 people? The struts themselves look pretty simple to replace. I did a search thru this Forum and couldn't find anything on the labor and work involved (did find the cost of the struts). Thanks.

Cool

I did it myself. Just hold the hood up with a broom handle, or a pipe. Just be careful not to knock it over & hit yourself in the head. (I did that, stupid mistake).
Grab you some Camry/ES hood struts off ebay. I think mine were like $45-70?

Yeah it really not that hard a job. Depending on the type of hood strut you might need to do some drilling but nothing major. Read the instructions and give it a shot
