Default Airbag warning light

Hi everybody,

Recently had my interior redone, i.e. new leather on seats, dash, doors, steering wheel etc.
Since I got the car back, the airbag warning light stays on, and the automatic upward / downward tilting of the wheel doesn't work anymore.
I assume it's got something to do with some kind of chip that needs to be reset after they disconnected the wiring to work on the steering wheel, right?
Do I have to take it to Lexus for that, or is there something I can do myself?

Thanks

I forgot which one but if your battery was disconnected either the ABS or the Airbag light will stay on. The shop may have disconnected your battery during the work. It has to be reset by the dealer (or if you know how).

Thumbs up Problem solved

Thanks for your inputs.

The problem was actually caused because the shop DID NOT disconnect the battery while they disconnected the wiring for the airbags (at least that's what they told me)

Took the car to a Toyota dealership yesterday and they reset the code free of charge! Very unusual in my area for someone to do something for free.

You lucky bastard, I got boned for 1/2 hour work of labor to reset my air bag light. It took them less than 30 seconds to perform the work. I feel so violated.

Someone has a manual ! Any one want to grab that overpriced bible and check into it? Many on the forum would appreciate it. And, besides, I'd just like to know.

On another note, someone posted they could get the workshop manual for 90$? Please let me know; I need to buy one.
