Well after some serious thinking, i decided to sell my SC. One of the salesmen at the dealership i work for mentioned his nephew was looking for a 5 speed SC and knew i had one. We worked out a fair price and the car will be leaving next week for it's new home in Colorado.
The reason i decided to let her go was that i can now pay off all of my debt. I can finally begin to save to buy a house within the next few years. My brother is a full time college student and has agreed to let me drive his 328Ci over the winter and spring and when he comes home in the summer i will ride my motorcycle or drive my girl's car until he leaves again.
I thank you all for the 3 years of great info and ideas that i used to make this car perfect. It was mostly stock but i kept it really clean and nobody who ever saw it knew it was a 95.
Hopefully within a few years i will end up getting a newer Lexus, hopefully an SC430, and I'll be back on here posting and reading again.
Well, think of it as this, Good day cuz u can pay off your debts and start to really plan out ya future. And after its said and done, you'll have a car back thats yours
Dude, you can do a 100% loan to buy a house and get the seller to pay closing costs! You don't need to sell the SC to buy a house. Reconsider!!!!!
Well, It's no so much the house thing, i want to get rid of the high interest credit card debt. Then I will use the money i am shelling out each month for the credit card companys to eventually put a nice down payment on a house. The 100% zero closing loans always seem to have higher interest.
Either way i promised the car to the new owner and i got to keep my word. I still get a free BMW to drive for 8 months a year and my crusier bike to ride over the warm months.
Sorry man, wish i could but that was one of the things the buyer really liked about the car. The car is no longer mine, i handed the title over today and drove home from work in a P.O.S Blue Cavalier off the used car lot!
that is one extrememly clean SC, i wouldn't have sold it. it'll be hard to find another 5spd in that condition
Thanks man! I did alot of work over the years getting it fixed up to that point, newer seats, new steering wheel, and i detailed and waxed it monthly. I would definately like another lexus in the future. The 5speed SC was a rare find, i had to drive to Washington DC to get it and the new owner lives 1500 miles away in Colorado so i guess he couldn't find one locally.
