how much for a diamond white pearl paint job?
I was wondering, that my car's paint on the rocker panels and two parts of the lower rear bumper are off color and my front bumper has a large paint chip in it. I was wondering how much should I look to pay to get a good clean paint job to fix these body parts with the diamond white pearl paint that came from the factory? A friend of mine owns a dealership that will spray them for free if I get the paint, but isnt it a 2 stage paint job. I am worried it will be quite a bit of money, so I am just looking to find out how much I should pay to just get those parts re-painted.

I see this a lot, and don't know why. No one can give you the price that any shop will charge. depends totally on the shop, the materials (brand), and how much prep it will take to make YOUR CAR correct for paint.

If you remove the "pearl" layer, you have the remaining "white". Just spray a new "white" and forget about the "pearl". It will look brighter and easier to touch up later.
That's what I am thinking if I repaint the car.

yea but the pearl is what makes them look so hot, my car has the same white off as in dinhNER's body panels in his SIG and it makes me mad every time I get my car clean that those panels are off, but the pearl in the paint just makes it pop so much more than plain white so I kind of want the pearl in there too but dont know how much that would cost

Well I have called some up, but I am just looking for someone to give me a ballpark range on how much I should expect to pay because I dont want to get screwed on the price and I really have no idea how much this kind of stuff should cost

yup... depending on quality of paint job, expect minimum $2000 for a pearl paint job, and closer to 3k for a really good job...
back in San Antonio, a friends shop specialized in repainting cars, both back to original and changing colors, with the best quality paints, replacing all rubber gaskets, seals, disassembling anything that could be disassembled, and such, a true, show quality paint job, much better even than the factory, and he charged $7000 for that...
personally, I plan on repainting my car within the next year or so (the paint is pretty good except the front bumper has some minor cracking in it, and i wanna get rid of some dings and such) anyways, I plan on just doing the basic repaint with a metallic color similar to my stock color, but just a little more red to it, and I have been quoted $3000 for said paint job from a reputable shop with a good warranty...

the dpw is a hard color to paint and match there would be alot of blending and it sounds like a new paint job is what ur looking for and even the factory dpw is a 3 stage paint job expect to pay $3000-$5000 for a good quality paint job using quality brand paints i would use ppg.... u will need to buy 2 quarts if your gonna have ur friend paint it for free that would be enough for the outside only no jams....expect to pay for materals only to cost u about $750-$1000 for materials depending on where u get it and any other materials such as tape, paper and cleaner, things like that.....my shop would charge u about $5000 ... u can shop around prob find a cheap shop to do it for u for about $1500-$2500 but hey u get what u pay for...

So the lowest price I could manage to get only a few body panels repainted and color matched with pearl was $1300 for front bumper and door moldings, side skirts, back bumper and rear bumper rock skirts so looks like I might have to wait a while to hear back from my friend with the dealership
