Default Touch up paint

I called the dealership to order the touch up paint. The tech told me that I had to order 2 touch up paint for Crystal white. One for the base. The other one for the white pearl. Is it true?

Yeah the 062 Crystal White is a metallic/pearl color but you will need a base coat if your paint is chipped down to the metal. Super White 040 will work fine as a base, then apply the 062 Crystal white as a 2nd coat. This was definitely the case for the old 051 Diamond White Pearl.

Default Autovisuals pens

Try finding your color at Autovisuals..com

They make touch up paint but rather than using a brush to apply it uses a pen...Kind of like a majic marker. Much easier to apply. Used it on a S2000 and was very happy with the results.

Oh yeah, the touch up paint also comes with a two sided applicator, one side a regular brush and the other side is kind of like a ball point pen. also bought some stuff that helped take the "blot bump" from the paint, kinda shaving down the touch up paint to be flush with original paint.

If you guys really want to save, buy the same touch up paint from your local Toyota Parts Counter i.e. Carson Toyota or etc.

Just give them the color code and they should be able to order it or already have it in stock. All touchup paint from your Lexus dealer is Toyota/Lexus paint.

I was told the same thing at Longo. I will try the technique Flipside referred to. I currently have white touch up from a Camry(is this super white 040?). I will just purchase the metallic from the dealer.
