Delining
Gang:
I know there are threads on delining headlights, but does anybody have a step by step pictorial and process for delining our headlights? I am interested in just delining the section in front of the projectors of our headlights...
Thanks,
Ryan

there should be a write up about how to open up your headlights and take it apart.
after you take it apart you simply wetsand the lines away that is if you're talking about just the line the light project through

I'm sure it's in regards to this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...light=Delining
Obviously you pop them in the oven 175-200 def F for 5-10 minutes, and then work from there
Here's a good start from the supra guys:
From MDSUPERSTAR on SF:
"Sand everything out with 400 grit, then 100, then 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, then anything you can find that is higher than that. Then Novus 3 stage plastic polish."
I've used 3M plastic cleaner & polish and it seems to work quite well.
Here's a MKIV.com how-to on cleaning, just sand a little harder to deline

It will take longer, but it's safer. 60-grit is so aggressive that one bad move and you have a scratch you are dealing with for life.
Thanks Jose & Xir -- as I mentioned above, I quoted that from a post on SF (since a link wouldn't help with their registration somewhat closed)
I'll edit my post to remove the 60 grit
I personally used 800 & 2000 to wet sand the outside of my headlights. Took a while, but it got the job done.
