Do a full tune up if you haven't recently. Change your oil, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, flush out some fluids, etc. It will make a world of difference.

 

Use electrical connection cleaner and get all the oxidation off those terminals. Big difference there too.


Camshafts, header.. nawzzz is like supercharging, u need to get stuff in and out of the motor very easily.

Those two mods alone should set you down for alot quicker speeds, especally getting rid of the factory pre-cats

For the topic, maybe you can do a 5 spd swap, world of difference there too...

 

If he went to a 3500rpm stall in the auto, it would smoke that 5spd with nitrous in the 1/4mi.

It does, but not significantly.

I believe you should be in the high 15's with your current mods. But it varies from tuning, health of the motor, atmospheric conditions, elevation, traction, weight, and a million other variables.

 

i dunno about 2jzge, but retarding the ex cam on the 1jzgte is good for 20rwhp
