I just did the worst thing in the world and washed my engine.... now the car has strange idling problems... and when it takes off it seems like it's not firing on all pistons... I replace the rotor because it was really gone... and the plugs look kinda bad... I'm going to replace those monday... could it just be the plugs?

Also how do you get to the plugs under the intake? Are there any dyi's on the board?

Take apart the cap'n'rotor and dry it off, then do the same with the wires and plug holes, don't take the plugs out before drying. cause you'll just drain the water into the cylinder.

Might as well change your plugs too while you've got it all ripped apart

What happened is you probably got the pulg wires wet inside the engine. Make sure you get a shop wet/dry vac and get most of the water out of the holes the plug wires lead into before you pull the plugs or you will get the water inside the cylinders.

Just tape a straw to the vacume hose so you vacume the water through the straw, it will help reach the water inside.

Then pull your plugs and see if they need changing, then check / replace your spark plug wires.

The plugs look bad and there was water all around them, I got 98% of it with a towel and screwdriver, soaking it up over and over again... what would happen if a little water got in?

Well the thing the spark plug screws into...yea, that's the combustion chamber, the place that makes all the magic happen.

You NEED to pick up a basic "how to" on reciprocating engines.

Just dry it out, replace the plugs, don't wash your engine again with a pressure washer!!!!

 

You should have done a search on this before posting. You are one of many who did this.
