Say you want $6k out the door and make it look like you're doing them a favor when they say no. It worked for me. The place I got my car from wanted almost $8000. We got it out the door (taxes, etc) for $7200. But this is for a 95 with black interior.

I bought my black '95 (5-speed) with a few more miles than that (96k), no heated seats, no trac, bald as hell tires for $7500 even. I may have paid too much by other people's standards, but I think I got a solid deal. Not great for me or for the guy that was selling it, right in the middle

Dealers tend to ask a little more than they think they'll get though (from what I've seen, which isn't a lot). So you may be able to get it for a bit less. Hope this helps!

i think its kinda near a pretty solid deal.
depending on the year of the car of course coz it doens't say the year in the link.

if its a 92 then 89k is pretty low miles depending on which state u come from.

i think you should start off at a lower number then you are comfortable with paying when u go bargain.

I paid $9000.00 for mine, 1995 Black on Black 5 speed. Actually I paid almost $10K because I had to buy 2 plane tickets to go out and get it. But it was clean and that was about 3 years ago. And Black on Black is what I wanted...

you guys have to think about the location also. Cars around chicago esp in the burbs around there tend to cost more. I bought my red 95 5 speed with 66K miles wih heated seat, blah blah blah for 13 grand in downers grove. Some may say that was too high of a price but tttp5 said, you should feel confortable with whatever price you lay out. In my opinion though, that price is too high for a 93 automatic in that condition

Hell, if you want a 8K car, my friend has a 95 blk/Tan with 112K miles for sale...

For a 93 SC3 with 15' stock wheels, 7500 is way too much...
Maybe arond 6K the most...

Agreed

Paying $7500 for that car is rediculous.

Listen here vato.... Have the car checked out and have the mechanic look at these specific items to help you bargain your price down. 1. PS Pump leaks ($500) 2. Alternator ($500)-amp read out , check for possible ps pump fluid spilled on it. 2. LCA's ($1400 oem)(You will thank me on this if they are worn out. 3. Check for any oil leakage ($600-replace gasket seals). 4. Make sure all pulleys are running smoothly, no hissing, squeaking etc.($400)

These prices are an estimate using oem parts with Dealer install.

If all the above items are experiencing any trouble , the following would be your haggle price:
$7500 - $3400= $4,100 (lowest haggle price)
$7500-$2400= $5,100 (Modest haggle price that includes subtracting costs for common problems such as ps pump , alternator and lca replacement )

I feel $5,000 is fair price for this vehicle considering the age and the common problems this model DOES experience. Take $5k cash and slam it on the sales guy's desk and tell him to take it or leave it

For reference, KBB.com quotes a 1995 5-Speed SC300 with 60k miles and in Excellent condition at 9,300 for a Private Seller.

Why is a bad alternator $500? That is outrageous! Are you a mechanic?
