I went to have it done yesterday, but I think I should order the LS sheilds..
Oh crap, the 95+ LS400 calipers causes clearance issues? I have them sitting in my garage and I'm installing them this weekend. Am I going to run into problems? I run 18" with +42 offset (it was from my FF car).

offsets have nothing to do with caliper clearance. YOu need HIGH DISK fitment on your rims in order for it to clear.
Here's a way you can tell...with your 18s right now, check how far your spokes are to the caliper. If they're pretty darn close, i doubt it'll fit.

I looked at the current clearance. I have about 0.50 inch clearance from the highest point of the caliper to the rim. But I noticed that LS and SC calipers look different.
SC caliper has this quarter circle thing that protrudes out, I think it's called the "carrier," the part where the brake pads attach to. It is this part that is closet to the rim. I know the LS400 with it's 4 piston don't have this. It's so hard to explain, anyone have the shop manual pictures of the SC300 front brake system and the 95+ LS400 front brake?

can anybody shed a little more light on this? i'm doing the LS400 upgrade sometime myself this month, and will be installing new rotors also (made for a 1993/05 - 1998 supra) so i'm wondering what i'll have to do as far as the carrier and all that.... kinda learning as i go, so any info would be fantastic.
