I'm rockin' a 5speed 92 sc300. I need a decent budget LSD. Will the LSD from a 1995 NA supra 5speed be perfect for my application? I'm only doing light autoX, some roadrace and occasional drift events. If this wont' suffice, what should I get instead?
and for referemce, here's my car on TEIN Flex. 30 off the top in the front and rear. 1 finger gap. Going to throw on TT wheels with 225/s in the rear for better traction breakage.
I'm fairly new to the Toyota/Lexus scene, but I believe that any car that was offered with the Toyota W58 transmission did not include LSD. This would include the Supra 5MT.
A very low amount of W58 Supras came with LSD........ I'd say it would be tough to find the rear-end from one of those particular cars. You're better off looking for a TT Auto rear-end.
Are they hard to come by? What's the axle ratio...
Unfortunately yes they are hard to come by I've got my Hyper Rev in front of me, and the final gear ratios they've given me are:
* 2.393 (3.180)
* 3.916 (4.083)
^ The ratios in brackets are for manual models (R154), unfortunately I can't read Japanese so I can't tell you which ratio is which (LSD or not).
After i order my stock soarer LSD from a austrailian junkyard i found with gobs of soarer and sc parts of all motors and styles, ill give out the # and email to the guy. I get parts out of there dirt cheap, the last 1jzgte ecu i ordered was $60 at my door and took 1 week to get here. He's got EVERYTHING
Ill speak for us all on the boards by saying thanks VJ RC51and that im sure we cant wait to get a new vendor to buy soarer parts from...60 bones for an ecu is a steal!
let me just order a few hard to get parts from him this week and ill be glad to spill the beans on his contact info after that. Gotta love the exchange rate.
