I've got one of those new 8gb ipad nano's with the touch screen that are the size of a half dollar so it's really moot to spend half an acre on a big ipod/phone mount these days. (or to even have a Cd player for that matter)

I'm telling you man, having somewhere to throw something the size of a coke can when you get in the car without messing with anything like lifting the console up or trying to fit it all in your cup holder has been great. It's really quick access large space for the wallet, phone, etc. The things you need to get rid of right when you get in, and things you need right when you get out.

When I drive my other SC with the stock radio setup I have nowhere to put anything and it's frustrating.

Now 2005 was a great year for cell phones

Great idea! Maybe reduce the risk of theft of your aftermarket stereo! False face plate.. This being a 6 year old thread.. Still genius!

That's a nice mod and something you would really get use out of.

Looks like something that would end up packed with receipts and coins. Imaginative though!
