Default Help needed

I have a 92sc300lighter 5speed. Today after going out to eat i unlocked my car and the anti theft alarm went of. So i just got in and put key in the ignition. Alarm shut off but car will not crank over. I can hear the fuel pump and windows work. But door locks don't work anymore. We pushed started the car and it ran great no problems, after getting it home i turned it of and again car didn't crank. I close all doors to turn on engage alarm and nothing. So i tried everything on the forums, my key has no buttons. I tried putting key in the trunk, passenger door and driver door and nothing. Checked all fuses and eveething ok. When i disconnected the battery for a few minutes and connected it again the alarm went off but i couldn't open the door cause the door lock would look it self when i would try to open it. Please i have searched and nothing. Thank u and happy new year.

Sounds like the sensor on the back of the lock cylinder may be bad/snapped off, it's responsible for arming/disarming the alarm. It could also be a wire that has become fatigued and broken in the door harness. The car won't start because the alarm has a starter kill feature when the alarm is activated. Try unlocking on the passenger side to see if that disarms the alarm, you should see the light stop blinking on the dash, that hopefully will help the starting issue temporarily.

No problem, at least that's a pretty easy fix. You may also want to check the passenger side to see if it's having the same issue.

Very nice call, Scotty! Seems like there is another member with a similar problem. If I see his post again, I will direct him here.
