Guys,

Do you need a steering wheel puller to get it off or is it easy enough with a breaker bar?

Thanks Phuong and Ali. I guess I will pull it off first and see if I can muscle it loose. If not, guess I gotta borrow a puller.

Thx guys,
Jonny

I used a puller Johnny and I have done it both ways... I'm afraid of breaking not me but my car by yanking or bangin on my steering column.... Just my luck and I'll damage something...
BTW...puller takes 1minute to use...

It's really easy to do without a puller. Take off the large nut and then give it a few good whacks with your hands at 12, 6, 9 & 3 o'clock. It should pop right off.

Curious as I have done it both ways..... and agree that it comes off without the puller..

IS there a chance of damaging anything when banging the wheel/column like that?

Too many people to thank personally so thank you everyone for your input. I guess I will give it the hand pull first and then after that if I fail I will get a puller. Thank you guys and I will let you know how I do.

before you pull it off, loosen the bolt, do not take it off, otherwise you may hit your head with the wheel.
