Im like the other guy i love the targa tops but wayyy too much money for something that weakens everythign and looks like **** from what ive seen... would it be possible to make tops on the sc?
whats wrong with the sunroof? if you have to do something, why not just make the sunroof bigger? i dont see why anyone would want to cut up such a beautiful car. its quite unfortunate, but it seems that there are a lot of people coming into the SC world, that just dont see what some of us origional enthusiasts hold dear to our hearts. i dont mean anything to you in particular, that is just my opinion. i just dont want to see the SC turn into the next civic. KEEP IT CLEAN PEOPLE!! please!

Couldnt have said better myself. Actually I could say it better (in my mind) but its not good for the image of his forum.
by all means i wouldnt want to destroy the classy car... i didnt really know they made sunroofs any bigger thats what i was origanaly thinking but i wasnt sure if they did or not that would be awsome and exactly what i was lookin for i mean i love the class and everything there outrite beautiful. thx guys for the input.
if you found a good shop, you could have them extend your rails and put in a different handel for the shade and just have it slide all the way back. that would be the easiest.
I actually went to a place that does this for cars in new jersey. They told me that it could be done however, when you guy the original supports and take the roof off...there is a possibility that the car can start to fold in...and over time it's almost inevitable according to them with any car that you convert like that. when a car comes in convertible form it is specially designed with the certain supports...so your looking it big cash and constant upkeep costs to make sure everything is still in place every year or so.
As i've went over this before... The car has doorframes which will need to be welded to the unibody and cut the middle top part out, and the roof will have a big gap where the sunroof used to be stored when it was open. And the car will never be the same rigidity wise.
